Frogs

We are very proud to welcome Frogs & Co. rugby football club (Frogs) as our Foundation’s fourth Cooperating Organization, and to award the Frogs with our Foundation’s Gold Seal of Approval as a socially responsible organization. 

Frogs & Co. is Poland’s most internationally recognized rugby team.  They organize international tournaments; regularly play foreign teams in Warsaw, and at least once a year travel abroad on tour.  In addition, the Frogs are one of the most prominent social teams in Poland, and are very proud that other clubs learn from them about rugby culture and about fair play.  Having been in existence for 15 years, the Frogs have raised over 250,000 PLN for various children’s charities.

The Frogs club is composed of expat businessmen and local Polish rugby talent. Over the past few years they have experienced numerous successes both nationally and internationally. The Frogs boast the following list of championships: Poland 7’s Cup winners 2008; Poland’s 7’s League runners-up 2006, 2008; 5 time winners of the “Capitals Cup,” the Central-Eastern European expat rugby championships, including a tournament record with 3 cups in a row, and 4 Warsaw 10s titles including the Berlin 10s in 2005.

For the past 12 years in a row, the Frogs have organized the Warsaw 10s, the biggest social rugby tournament in Central-Eastern Europe.  The 10’s attracts a large number of teams worldwide, including teams from England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Germany, Belgium, France, Austria, Poland, Czech, Hungary, Russia, Hungary, USA and Tahiti. The purpose of the tournament is to promote rugby and raise money for charity.

Affectionately known as the friendliest team in Poland, the Frogs attract competitive teams from all over Poland.  Other Polish teams really love the game of Rugby as only the Frogs know how to play it, but they also love the famous after-game “fellowship” that can only be experienced with the Frogs.

It is true that the Frogs love the rough and tumble game of rugby and the comradeship that goes with it.  But they are also a group of guys who care about children in need.  They are committed to providing funding for our Foundation’s Hot-Meal program from the money they raise at the Rugby matches and social events.  The Frogs' President, Aleksander Domaradzki, better known as "Domo", said it best… “We are happy and honored to become a Cooperating Organisation of the CSR Foundation. For us, this is an excellent opportunity to help needy Polish kids, and at the same time promote the game of rugby, the two things that are fundamental to the Frogs DNA." 

What more can be said, except maybe, “The Frogs are the best…”
