We are very proud to announce that Real; one of the world’s largest retail chains has become a member of the Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility.
We are delighted to welcome and to bestow upon Real our Foundation’s Gold Seal of Approval as a socially responsible company. Real is a member of the international trade concern the METRO Group, the third largest retail group in the World. The company began its activity in Poland in November 1995, and presently operates 54 stores throughout Poland.
Real boasts very high levels of customer service as proven by the many awards it received from both its customers and numerous consumer organizations. Real employs more than 13,500 well-trained employees in its chain, and is proud of its distinguished record of customer service which is one of the core values of the company. In addition, Real prides itself with its exceptional quality, team work, personal development, transparency, respect and passion. Brand articles and strong private labels guarantee a high-quality product line in both the food and non-food segments of Real stores. Recently, a new private label – “Real Quality” was introduced at Real hypermarkets. The brand TiP, which is well known across Poland, remains the budget-priced label in Real stores. Real invests heavily in its employees to quarantee customer satisfaction in all of its stores, and innovation and technology are the basic ingredients of successful store operations. Real is currently testing self-service check-outs, and Real stores are equipped with "smart" scales that automatically recognize various types of fruits and vegetables. Top quality and safety are priorities in every product segment. Real’s quality-assurance system guarantees compliance with its high standards, which far exceed legal requirements.
Suppliers must meet strict testing criteria and continually undergo intensive monitoring. Real is a reliable partner of local communities, and is devoted to CSR initiatives that fight hunger and malnutrition in Poland. Real along with Metro Group sister company Makro Cash & Carry, will launch two major cause-marketing “back to school initiative each year on behalf of our Foundation’s PromiseKids.
The first “Back to School” fundraising campaign will be held in all 83 Real and Makro stores in Poland from August 17-31.
