We are pleased to announce that Pfizer, the world’s leading health company employing more than 120,000 people world-wide, with 93 production facilities, and medicines available in over 150 countries, has become a member of the Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility.
Pfizer is also the biggest private biomedical research organization in the world. 12,500 scientists work in research laboratories in the USA, Europe and Japan to develop new medicines. A yearly research and development budget at Pfizer amounts to 8 billion dollars. Pfizer scientists currently work on 400 projects, 145 of which are on completely new medical substances.
Pfizer has one of the biggest portfolios of innovative medicines used in many areas of medicine such as cardiology, neurology, psychiatry, diabetology, rheumatology, ophthalmology, endocrinology, sexology, urology, oncology and infectious diseases. The company also offers animal health and consumer health (OTC) products; many of the products are the world’s best-known brands such as Nicorette, Visine, Ben-Gay and Listerine. Pfizer Polska is also active in the field of clinical research.
Pfizer’s presence in the Polish market dates back to 1958. Today, Pfizer Polska is a leading pharmaceutical company in Poland. The operations of the Polish division go beyond offering medicines and running clinical research. Recognizing the needs of Polish patients and medical community, the company regularly popularizes knowledge of new therapies and medicines through co-operation with patients and doctors’ organizations.
