It is with great pleasure that we welcome the Netherlands-Polish Chamber of Commerce (NPCC) as a new “Cooperating Organization” of the Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility (FCSR). By signing a notable cooperation agreement, these two major business organizations forge a new positive relationship that is intended to foster the promotion of corporate social responsibility in the Republic of Poland. The NPCC becomes the second Cooperating Organization of the Foundation, sharing this distinction with the British Polish Chamber of Commerce.
The mission of the NPCC is to promote and facilitate economic ties between Poland and the Netherlands, and to provide a platform for the exchange of views and experiences between Dutch and Polish companies. To this end, they organize workshops, seminars, and symposia devoted to issues of interest to the business community, and host leading policy makers at business lunch meetings. They also publish a quarterly Bulletin. At the moment, the Chamber has 80 member companies involved in trade between Poland and the Netherlands, including all leading Dutch investors in Poland, as well as numerous small and medium-sized enterprises.
FCSR President, Dr. William C. Chasey, stated that, “together with the NPCC, we believe that business can be a powerful agent of positive social change, and we want to develop an open dialogue and action plan with business leaders in search of Corporate Social Responsibility. In so doing, we affirm the necessity for moral values in business and decision making. Without them, stable business relationships and a sustainable world community are impossible. It is for this reason that we would like to develop Cooperating Organizational relationships with as many companies and organizations as practical.”
The Netherlands-Polish Chamber is governed by a Management Board, representing bilateral commercial relations and composed of representatives of renowned Dutch businesses in Poland. Within the Association, both big, medium-sized and small companies are considered equally important, so the interests of all are safeguarded. The NPCC also provides expert assistance to Dutch companies that seek to enter the Polish market, offering a wide range of tailor-made services.
The Netherlands-Polish Chamber of Commerce is based in Warsaw and cooperates with an international network of Netherlands chambers active in a number of European countries. The NPCC is also a member of the International Group of Chambers of Commerce.
We are delighted to have the Netherlands-Polish Chamber of Commerce as a Cooperating Organization, and we award them our Foundation’s Gold Seal of Approval as a Socially Responsible Organizaton.
