It is with great pleasure that we welcome Developer Ghelamco Poland as our newest member of our Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility, and we will award our Foundation’s Gold Seal of Approval upon Ghelamco’s Managing Director for Central & Eastern Europe, Jeroen van der Toolen, at this evening’s 6th Annual Dinner Dance at the Warsaw Hilton Hotel. Ghelamco Poland has been present in the Polish real estate market for 17 years. At the beginning of 2008 the company decided to enter the residential segment and created the Ghelamco Residential brand. The company is a part of Ghelamco group, established in Belgium in 1985 and one of the largest commercial developers in Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia and Ukraine. In 2008, Ghelamco Poland was named Developer of the Year by Construction & Investment Journal, while Marynarska Business Park was awarded Best Overall Development in Poland 2008. Developer Ghelamco Poland has started construction on Crown Square which, along with office buildings Crown Point and CrownTower, will comprise the Crown Investment complex, located near Rondo Daszyńskiego in Warsaw. Crown Square, the newest class-A investment in Warsaw, designed by the architectural studio of Ludwik Konior, will occupy 17,000 sqm, with 13 above-ground floors and three underground levels which will be intended for parking. Apart from offices, the investment will also have commercial and service sections. On the first floor, restaurants, a newsstand and a grocery store are planned. The building will boast a computerized building management system and have modern air-conditioning and ventilation solutions. Completion of Crown Square is expected in Q4 2009. Crown Square is one of several Ghelamco office projects in Warsaw. Apart from Crown Investment, it has also developed Prosta Office Center, Zaułek Piękna, Trinity I and II, and the Martynarska Business Park.
