We were delighted when Dell Sp. z o.o. General Manager Maciej Filipkowski was our guest at our Foundation’s CEO Breakfast in September.  Now, we are absolutely ecstatic to announce that Dell Sp. z o.o. has become a new member of our Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility.  Well, who wouldn’t be ecstatic to welcome one of the largest manufacturers of computers in the world to their ranks?  We will be honored to present Mr. Filipkowski with our Foundation’s Gold Seal of Approval as a socially responsible company at our 5th Annual Dinner Dance at the Warsaw Hilton on November 12th.

DELL Sp. z o.o. is part of the multinational technology company DELL, Inc. which develops, manufactures, sells, and supports personal computers and other computer-related products worldwide.  Based in Round Rock, Texas, DELL employs more than 88,000 people throughout the world.

The company currently sells personal computers, servers, data storage devices, network switches, software and computer peripherals.

DELL, Inc. (NASDAQ: DELL) listens to customers and delivers innovative technology and services they trust and value. Uniquely enabled by its direct business model, DELL is a leading global systems and services company and No. 34 on the Fortune 500 list. DELL CEO Michael Dell officially opened DELL’s newest and most advanced manufacturing facility in ŁódĽ, Poland on January 23, 2008. The facility locates DELL production and personalization capabilities closer to increasing numbers of consumers and businesses in Central and Eastern Europe, and will significantly improve delivery times.

Locating the facility in Poland puts DELL much closer to its customers, significantly speeds delivery times and improves service to this important region. The facility represents a major investment by DELL in this region and reflects its importance to the company’s business.

Consistent with its commitment around the world to support the local community and minimize its environmental impact, DELL has a number of community projects underway. These include enabling two ŁódĽ schools from the Widzew District to receive DELL products worth U.S. $35,000, and planting of total 296 000 trees in ŁódĽ and its surrounding area in 2007 and 2008.

DELL’s Corporate Social Responsibility statement grows even more as DELL Poland becomes a member of the Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility, and helps the Foundation feed 60,000 Hot-Meals each month to 3,000 of Poland’s most needy children in 15 Polish Schools each school day...

We welcome DELL Sp. zo.o. to the Foundation and look forward to a long and positive relationship with DELL.
