We are very proud to announce that one of the most awarded vodkas on the market, Chopin Vodka, has become a member of the Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility. We are delighted to welcome and to bestow upon Chopin Vodka our Foundation’s Gold Seal of Approval as a socially responsible company.
The Chopin distillery in Poland dates back to 1896 and is located near the town of Krzesk in the heart of the Podlasie region, one of Europe’s healthiest and most fertile agricultural areas. The facilities are relatively small, but Chopin is the only producer in Poland that controls vodka production at every step: from the purchase of raw materials from local farmers; distillation of these raw materials at the distillery; and blending and bottling. Full control over the entire process guarantees consistently high quality and an assurance of authenticity.
Chopin Vodka was first introduced to the U.S. market in 1997. Famous for its superb quality and packaging, Chopin has created a new category of vodka – the "Super Luxury Vodka Category" – and has set new standards for others to follow.
In January 2003, this state-owned distillery and factory was privatized and is now operated by Chopin owner Tad Dorda. The time-honored tradition of high-end distillation is proudly embraced, while the distillery also has all the advantages of modern equipment.
We at the Foundation have had the privilege of working closely with Tad Dorda and his team the past few weeks in preparation for the August 11-24th Makro – Real Back-to-School Cause Marketing Campaign entitled, “Hungry Kids Can’t Learn.” Proceeds from the Campaign will be used to help the Foundation feed 60,000 Hot-Meals each month to poor Polish school children. We are extremely pleased that Chopin Vodka has decided to join our efforts to spread Corporate Social Responsibility throughout Poland, and to help us as we work together in making life better for needy Polish Children. We want to especially thank Chopin owner Tad Dorda for his leadership in bringing Chopin into the Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility. |
